Default Need Help finding a reputable user on here!!! (1jz)

Hello, I have an sc300 with a 1jz (single conversion), problem is the WHOLE wiring harness is done for good and not salvageable! Its been almost a decade since I worked on it and last time I was on this forum i found a user who referred to himself as the "Electrical doctor" or something of that nature. His specialty was to create awesome engine harnesses. It would help a lot if someone know him, I really wanna see my baby back to life.

The two current SC300/400 engine wiring harness gurus here are Gerrb and Ali SC3. I haven't heard of this wiring doctor or seen older posts with a user name similar to that.

I've done work on one harness for myself with their help. What's happened to your current harness such that you feel it's toast?

If you wanted to send that harness in as a template to get a new one professionally made that will be OEM quality, seek out Tweak'd Performance, Panic-Wire or Wiring Specialties. Each of those companies will make new harnesses for almost every type of JZ engine swap and whatever custom style or custom options you want added in.

^^ Pretty funny, he is referring to "Dr. Tweak" before there the shop Tweak'd performance was started, he did work on the forums (mr2, supra etc..).
Call up any of the companies Kahn listed above, tell them your setup, pay the money, get a plug and play harness, install and enjoy! pretty easy!

That does sound like Dr. Tweak. He did really good work. He did the harness on my friend’s 1JZ SC300.

Whoa! LOL! I honestly did not connect the "doctor" with "Dr. Tweak", hahaha. You guys have been active here much longer than I have and probably talked to him in some threads.

got-sc?, As both Ali SC3 and Kira both suggest, call up any of those companies and you can have any spec you need professionally made. And if you want to use the same guy you were mentioning, Dr. Tweak, his business can take care of what you need now. It will cost you no matter which of these businesses you use but that will be always be the case when getting a custom OEM-like harness made.

Be sure to go over any specifics that you may need added in for your 1JZ-GTE single SC300 (ie: for SC's you need to add a couple of specific wires such as for the heater control valve VSV, the A/C outside ambient air temp sensor, one of the main power connectors in the engine bay, two extra wires for the SC's factory theft alarm horn on the intake side, and it cannot hurt to add a couple of extra wires and connectors for an oil temp gauge sender, oil gauge pressure sender, a separate water temp gauge sender and for any other convenient accessory functions you want to design in... although they have a pretty comprehensive menu of options to choose from at Tweak'd Performance).
