Default CD Changer Jammed

YES, I still use CDs in the 92 SC400! Anyways, yesterday I was putting in a new CD and the disc jammed (it has done this before). I usually nudge it with my finger and it's fixed. Well yesterday, I accidentally hit the eject button and then nudged the CD into the player. The CD I had loaded went into the player, but the cartridge rose up and ejected. It will not go back down now. Anyone know if I can fix this or is the changer kaput? Thanks in advance.

I fixed it! Used tweezers to get the CD out and then it cycled through the ejection processed. Reloaded the cartridge and it's working normally!

Good fix! You're lucky that CD changer is still in good working condition after all this time! Mine never worked from the day I bought my SC

For what it's worth, you're not the only one who still uses CD's in their SC in 2020, lol. Although for me it's with a modern in dash CD head unit and the uses are getting fairly seldom compared to the majority of music being from bluetooth audio streaming from a device

But the factory stereos are very good and if still in good working condition they remain quite solid (with the addition of an aux-in mod).

Glad to know I'm not the only one still using CD's! I've had multiple people comment on how good the stereo sounds in the car (it's just the base Pioneer system). It's amazing for 1992 and even sounds better than some much newer cars that I've been in. I use a Bluetooth cassette tape for when I want to stream music, however, the clarity on the cassette is nowhere near CD level.

I mainly use cd's too! i had to get a replacement player once i got the car but since then, i use it everyday when i drive. Not a huge bluetooth guy,i just burned 6 new cds with my new favorite songs 😁. i got tired of fiddling with my phone and just rather have something playing once i got into the car. The Nak radio sounds awesome with cd's as well. 😁
