Electrical Problem
Just purchased a 95 SC300 with 108k on the clock. Runs great, but having some electrical problems. Power door locks, interior dome lights , keyless entry, alarm and tilt steering do not work. And clock resets to 1:00 whenever the car is turned off. The lights don't work with the switch or doors open. everything else in the car works perfectly. Battery and alternator are new. All fuses are good, checked 3 times. Changed integration relay and tilt ecu, no change. If I pull the dome fuse it's the same. I'm thinking a harness problem or grounding issue. I have another alarm ecu and keyless control unit but haven't tried it yet. Would that cause these problems? I would think the lights should work with the switch even if that is bad. I checked bulbs, they look good. Dash lights all work. Also trunk switch doesn't work but gas door switch works. I also took out the engine fuse box to check connections, everything looks good. Looked at the wheel well don't see any damage. It would be nice if I could just plug one of these units in and fix the problem, but it seems like there must be a cut wire somewhere. Does the Dome fuse control all these systems? I'd appreciate any insight someone might have.
