Why are you relocating?

Not a bad idea to get it out of the way.

Mine is a nipple with O-ring that slips into the pump.

I suppose you could tap the pump inlet with an NPT or AN fitting its not under much pressure.

Pic of pump rebuild below...

Joe, are you relocating the GE power steering reservoir for an angled aftermarket FFIM or are you installing a GTE/OEM style FFIM?

What I also found is that the metal hose elbow that bolts onto the PS pump for the GTE style remote reservoir is at a different angle for the MKIV/Soarer application vs the GS/Aristo application. Meaning two different little outlet elbow designs that allow for different direction/routing of the PS hose to the reservoir depending on the chassis it was intended for.

For an aftermarket application I guess it just depends on where you will be planning to relocate whichever reservoir you are using.

Edit-- From this SF thread it the TT reservoir hoses are 5/8ths diameter and 3/8ths diameter respectively:

Had to look it up since in my case I just bought the OEM hoses from Toyota.

I remember struggling immensely with getting a new PS return hose on my SC300. I think I went with the 3/8" (0.375) standard size and determined that the real measurement is 9mm (0.354), which isn't available domestically. At least not in bulk. I didn't think to buy OEM hoses for the application (hindsight!), so I didn't check on how they're sized.

Everyone knows how hard it can be to get a crusty old hose off. In this case, it was equally difficult getting a fresh hose on. Maybe more so, since the goal was to NOT shred it in the process.

I’m going with a non angeled, eBay front facing intake manifold. Gonna have the mounting plate removed, have the intake shortened and weld on a D-plenum q45 adapter.

I ordered some 5/8 and 3/8ths size hoses from drift motion.

I had a funny feeling when I went to bed last night that the numbers I posted didn't make any sense... Sure enough, looking back, I wrote 9mm instead of 10mm (0.394). If someone has a new OEM return hose lying around, I'd be curious to see the I.D. measurement. I'm guessing it's not 3/8".

been researching and I’ve came across info about numerous hose sizes. Hope someone gives some good info with the actual hoses sizes.
