my 93 sc300 has what many lexus of the time had, what appears to be very light window film, purple in color but only at certain angles.

is this the glass?

or is it in fact film?

 

it appears that you may have a very light tint on your windows. My '92 SC400 has never had any tint on it and the windows are completely clear without any purple hues.

 

That's tint.

Factory, our cars have glass with a slight greenish tint to them. I don't know if that is on purpose, or natural.

Now what is interesting is supposedly Soarers in Japan had the option of bronze tinted factory glass. It was offered in the early 90s and even came with a windshield that had a bronze shading across the top vs the greenish.
I don't think I've ever seen pics of the glass, but I do remember reading someone confirming that there are 2 different windshields that have different part numbers because of different color codes

 

interesting. didn't know about the soarer bronze tint.

ill try to get pictures that show the super feint lavender purple color you can catch at some angles on my car. it isn't the green film you mention

 

The windows should be clear. My 93 had clear windows on it when I bought it.
