My windows look a little darker...than my mom's is300. Does anyone know if the 95 sc400's came with some kind of factory tint? I'm thinking about tinting my car but if it does have factory tint I don't want to pay extra to get it stripped.

Well I have a 1995 SC300 and mine didn't come with any kind of tint. Now they are 20% all around, nice and dark!

I've seen this light purple/black tint on a lot of SCs (which is also on my SC). I figured it was a factory tint. So, there was never factory tint on the 92-00 SCs?

95 SCs do not come with factory tint but 97+ glass is slighty greenish/blue, I guess it helps with glare..

Oh, I usually think of the dealer as factory, too, since it's technically/officially Lexus. So, the difference between a factory option and a dealer option is that factory tint is done at the manufacturing plant where the car is made, etc. and the dealer option tint is done after the car is made if the customer requests it.
