Starting to look at replacing the front seats of my 96 sc4. Was looking for something between a race bucket and the stock seats. Anyone have any ideas? Also looking into different color options for the interior. Car is the dark blue with light tan interior. Would love to see some pictures for ideas that everyone has.
Sure I mean you can make anything fit with the right fab skills. I seriously doubt that they even remotely closely bolt up but Supra seats do. Easy swap but pricey for sure.
I have a RX8 driver's seat (details in my build thread, see links in sig), following the lead of at least one other person here. You need to cut and weld brackets to make them fit the floor bolt pattern, but the dimensions themselves are a good match. Ditto for the '00-05 Celica passenger seat I used. Both are significantly more supportive (and half the weight!) than the stock SC seats if you're not a large individual, but you do sacrifice a bit of plush comfort.
MKIV Supra seats are the only plug 'n play option.
I have Hyundai Genesis Coupe seats (09-13) in my SC. Minimum fabrication, front tabs pretty much bolts right with a bit of slotting on the inner tab. Cut off the stock rear tabs line them up and reweld them.
Driver set is 4 way power, passenger seat is manual. 50 lbs. lighter and more supportive than the stock seats. I love them. I have the saddle color so I had SEM color match the paint and sprayed the rear seats to match.

That looks so good. It looks like an SC430 interior.
