How much is a 2jz-gte lexus worth?
The car is worth to the seller what he is willing to part for and to the buyer what he is willing to give.
My buddy just spent $5k on a coin collection. I'd have gave about 50 bucks to have it on my mantle.

A customized car like that is totally up to the buyer as far as what it's worth. No set way to determine.
As far the insurance company goes, most of them will treat it as a regular SC300. So if you total it, you're out the money unless you can get some additional coverage.

I'd say this is a decent price. From the sounds of it, it has a single turbo converstion.
Swap 5-6k
Single Turbo Setup 3-4k (add 1500 if he has a fuel system but those numbers seem low if he does.)
Wheels look like HRE or similar 3k
Brakes 2500
You've got 15000 in extras, I've always been told to take half that when selling a car.
So when it all adds up it depends on what the base car is and what your willing to spend. IF it was a 98 then sure, if it's a 92 body with 150k miles that the insurance values at 3-4k then probably not.

KBB.COM give the 1993 sc300:
Private Party Value $6,500
Private Party value represents what you might expect to pay for a used car when purchasing from a private party. It may also represent the value you might expect to receive when selling your own used car to another private party.
Then add what you think is fair for the mods. then cut that price in half.

When I was looking for one I would have paid that much.... You have to understand too that this isn't a 95 civic with a GSR swap (dime a dozen) you are talking about one of the "badest" car/swaps to walk (roll)this planet.... The swap is worth 20k bucks if you had a car that you were about to do it to... Figure what a high end shop would charge for it with a single and even some fuel mods... Then a 3k dollar brake upgrade.... In my humble opinion I would say yes... BUT keep in mind there is one already on this site for just a touch more that is pretty damn nice too....And also you NEVER see one of these things for sale and when you do they are high... I would offer 19 0r MAYBE 20... Another thing is alot of people (that don't understand) isn't willing to pay that kind of money for a car with a somewhat low book value, then the bank isn't going to finance that much on a car like that either, so any REAL buyer has to have about $12,000... to add to the loan value of the thing and beleive it or not most people don't have it... So in closing either the guy will have to be flexable on th price OR sit on it... Most sellers (with a motive for selling like buyig a house soon) will usually be flexable. If this guy is really buying a house then he will want to do it soon because the interest rate for mortgages are at a all time low and the money sacrificed on the car will be made up on a good inyeresy rate on the house... OK now Im rambling, sorry for the bad grammar and spelling (worked way to much this week)..... But thats my 2 cents

I don't think 24K obo is that bad of price. Especially with those modifications but imo exterior and interior condition also play a big piece in getting a good price. I've been toying around with the idea of selling mine but just dunno as of this moment.
I think that price is to high for a 93...... sure its has a bunch of mods but when one goes to sell it they wont get they you put into it. If I was you get one almost the same and Mod it to your likeing and have the satisfaction of you getting it done. Unless you want one all done up. If you really like it offer him less.
