Turbo 400 or 300
I just bought a 92 SC400 with a bent rod with the intention of doing a TT swap. After reading more about SC mods I was wondering if I am better off keeping the V8 and working that. This car is not a daily driver, and I plan on fully customizing it. Starting with the engine and performance end, then working on the body and interior. Since I intend on building a complete performace show car, which engine would I be better off with? I want to get as much power out of it as possible. Thanks...
Best power will be w/ a 400, but it will all be custom and cost $$ with a lot of tuning and testing.
Easier will be the 300, as parts are abundant, with plenty of people to help.
Your call. I wish you would go the 400 route to break the ice.

Thanks Keith... I would love to try somthing new and stick with the V8. What kind of options do I have with it? Are there Turbo or Supercharger kits available yet? Will it make things harder on me sticking with the V8 since one of the rods is bent? Thanks

No matter what, if you stick with your v8 that you have now, you will need a rebuild. Anyways I would check out lextreme's website, it has a lot of useful info for the v8 guys. http://lextreme.com/
