Default lights!!!

is the tail light of a 92 sc300 supposed to have the whole red light on when it is turned on? it seems like only the outside half of the tail light is on and only when i brake the whole thing lights up. is this normaL? and also is the light on the bottom of each headlight only supposed to turn on when the signal is on or is it always supposed to be on?

All the things you described are normal. And the lights below your headlights are cornering lights, not fog lights.

nysupraman,
Parking lights are only on the outside rear, the inner rears only light up when you brake. Source some toyota dual filament holders and wire up the inner rears to come on with the parking lights. I believe any 82-95 toyota dual filament holder will fit. I got mine from a wrecked 92 SC400.

which lights on the bottom of the headlights are you talking about ? The side-street (cornering) lamps that only go on when you are signalling? That's how they are supposed to operate. The FAQ site as a write-up on how to wire them to become "fog" lights.

Regards
