Do Automatic light off system turn off parking lights?
Manual says:
My car turns off only lowbeam lights, but the parking lights stays on. How to fix this?
Automatic light off system
The headlights and tail lights turn off 30 seconds after a door is opened or closed if the engine switch has been switched to ACC or turned OFF while the headlights are turned on. (The light turns off immediately if the button on the key is pressed after all doors are locked.) To turn the lights on again, switch to IG-ON mode, or turn the light switch OFF once and then back to the ...proper... position.

Something it wrong--it should not do that.
When I have the headlights on, or in AUTO mode, when I open the door (I had my LPS changed, but before that it was 30 secs after opening the door), headlights, fogs, parking lights and tail lights ALL turn off together. If I have only my parking lights on, and not headlights, the parking lights and tail lights turn off when I opened my door--and this was the same even before I changed my LPS--there was no 30 second delay if it was just the parking lights on.

what position did you set the light before you turn off the car?
1st position is off - it will go off when you turn off the car ( of course! )
2nd position is the parking light on - not sure about this, maybe you are here
3rd low beam - will go off after around 30 sec after the car shut off
4th auto - will go off as well

You should go to the dealer and have them take a look. May be a quick fix, maybe not. But they know what they are doing.

And for me, when lights are on, after I have stepped out of the car and closed the door ... pressing lock twice on the remote shuts off all lights

The LPS just adjusts how long after you open the door that the lights turn off. Something is not right with your lighting system--call the dealer.
