Question

Is there any company out there that builds a TC for about $600? I don't understand why the prices for a Lexus, TC is so high... Aren't you all as tired as I am of the price gouging because of a cars status?!?

We have a 98 Corvette also and I'm looking in a parts catalog and the have a hi-po TC that claims 7 to 9 tenths of the 1/4 et, for only $595!!! Several hundred cheaper than the TC offered for a Lexus.(not to offend, but the Vette is a whole lot faster/powerful than the Lexus) Maybe as a club we can get the same company that produces that TC would make one for the SC, GS, and LS...

On one thread some one was getting a TC built by a shop for about $350... Was it done? How is the drivability? Was it tested in the 1/4? What is the verdict?
I guess it is the price we have to pay for owning a Lexus or is it???

Default torque converter

There is a link below to the site that I am going to have mine rebuilt at. I will probably send it off within a week and hopefully have it installed within a week of return. I will post on the results that I get.
