I had some similar issues with I did the GTE ECU mod on my car... glad you got it sorted out!

Hopefully you didn't burn up your starter in the process of trying to start the car like i did.

starter still good and hopefully will never go bad lol, don't wanna ever replace that. i still gotta figure out why it won't start until i pull the EFI, that's the weirdest issue right now.

Did you replace your ECU yet? Pulling the efi resets the ECU...

yep ECU is a new rebuilt one, guy that rebuilds them isn't sure what's going on either. luckily he provides life time warranty so we can keep trying new ECUs until one works.

here's the battery relocation episode, made a sweet box in the trunk and welded it to the frame rail.

Working on the exhaust is so rewarding, hearing that 1uz come to life is the greatest noise of all time.

holy crap open header 1uz sounds freaking epic, almost blew my ears out. tried starting the car again today and it won't start again. getting sick of this rebuilt ECU, we're thinking of just going standalone. either Link or Megasquirt.

Its probably too late now but i was thinking you could have just drilled out the insides of the cat so its a straight pipe instead of cutting it out but you said they were hollow already?

yea they were already hollow, and i'm just reducing more weight by putting in straight pipes and also making it much easier to remove the exhaust if i ever need which i probably will when we turbo this turd.
