Heartset

Hello I have a 1995 Lexus SC300 I recently got into a little fender bender nothing like super serious but what I have noticed is that my speedometer needle works perfectly fine but when I'm slowing down and the needlehits 5 mph it bounces around a little. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Some people are telling me it could be the speedometer cable but others are telling me that the car doesn't even have a speedometercable?
