Default O2 Simulator

Does anyone have any info on O2 simulators for the 1st gen sc400?
I am looking for info on who sells and how to wire them up.

I have tried using the search function but the term "O2" is too short.

Any info is appreciated.

1st gens don't need O2 simulators, as they are not OBD II; if I'm not mistaken.

been running for two months without the oxygen sensor in the cat Sc300 No check engine light yet, all obdI cars can run without the sub-oxygen sensors. the ones one the manifold are the ones you need.

If a 93 sc400 isn't obd II, then I am in the clear.

I may be mixed up though.

Can anyone confirm that the 1993 sc400 isn't obd II?

how can I tell without taking apart the interior? I have a 96 sc300 and I have heard conflicting information on dates when OBDII started being put into the cars. Is there anything in the owners manual or something in the engine bay that can give me a clue?

tried a few things over the weekend...

disconnect the sub o2 sensors( behind the cats) = nothing happened
disconnected the main o2 = check engine light and trac light

this is on a SC400. 1992

So if this is the case, you could do away with your cats all together and no engine lights will come on.
How much hp would you gain by removing the cats or hollowing them out?

From what I tried yes you can take the cats out and there should be no check engine light.
You don't want to hollow out those cats... they are like ($800 for each) from lexus.
Don't know about HP gains...
its illegal to remove or hollow out or replace functional cats.
