Default Cooling system questions

Hi All,

This has been posted in the maintenance section with no response. I thought by cross posting it here I would improve my chances of getting an answer.

Thanks to the Lexus Repair Manuals and advice from this great site, I've just about finished a full 60k service on my 96 SC400. I did it all myself except the tranny and diff flush which I farmed out because of the mess required to do these without a lift or pit.

As part of this service, I've changed all of the fluids except the cooling fan. Can someone point me to the procedures for draining and refilling this?

Also, while doing the radiator flush, I noticed that the system pressure dissipates very quickly. It's hot, I switch it off, I see the level rise in the expansion tank and within a minute or two there's no pressure behind the cap. Is this normal operation or should I be looking for a leak?

Thanks for the help,
George
