Hi,

Bought a 2JZ-GTE VVTi from a ´99 Toyota Aristo 2 years ago. This was started when I received it. The engine sits on the floor without the transmission.
It has been done a thoroughly refurbishment to this engine.
Recently changed out the whole wire harness, in my search to figure out what could be the reason behind its no-start condition.
When I crank the engine, it fires, but no clear start. Just poofs.
The engine is completely stock

What I know (and think) is ok here:

- ECU proven to be ok (as this was sent to a dealer in the US for a service on the capasitors, which ended up not being changed).
- New battery 900 CCA (as I live in the colder parts of the world)
- Compression 145-150 on cleaned head
- Sparks present. I guess this excludes the crankshaft sensor, which has been measured to 2100 ohms and continuity is ok
- Timing correct
- Camshaft positioning sensor measured to 1100 ohms and continuity ok to NE-
- Ground points are clean and tight. Most grounds onto intake manifold
- Ground to ECU ok.
- Fuel pressure about 38 psi at no vacuum (bought a fuel pressure regulator)
- All injectors spraying. Resistance equal on all.
- O2 sensor heated to check resistance. Seems ok. Ground is ok.
- Water temperature sensor was also put in heating water for check.
- All sensors got ground. MAP, TPS, APPS (and IGF) has 5V on run / crank.
- No vacuum leaks
- MAF sensor seems to be ok.
- All B+ got battery voltage
- Big cable (stereo type) between battery and alternator, with a 150A fuse.
- Extra ground put from intake manifold to block. Also on extra from alternator to block (the block was spray painted during refurb. connection points were cleaned by sand paper)
- Battery voltage is constant to "Park", as the transmission is taken off.
- All solenoids are tested by running 12V through.

I have run myself into a dead end. I seriously don`t know where to look anymore.
Any ideas, tips, hints or straight out answers would be highly appreciated at this point.

I have put on some more fat cables as grounding. All to the engine block. The more, the merrier, as I have learned
