Default Burning oil

Hey everybody,
i have a 1995 sc400 with 127,227 mile on it . I always take it to the same shop to get the oil changed but today i checked the oil level just to kill time and it was down about one quart of oil. I have a heave foot sometimes once a lil 4bagger comes along but, that is beside the point. i Jus want to know that best way to stop this i was thinging i was goin g to have to get the pistons ring changed or something like that. can someone help me out here

Try a little heavier oil,maybe 15-50.If that doesn't do the trick put in a Q of Lucas.

How many miles did you put after the last oil change? Keep in mind that burning some oil is actually normal. Also, did you check if the engine didn't develop a leak somewhere?

If the car is not leaking, you could try to use Auto-rx, which is highly recommended by Bob is the oil guy web site. If you go through the forums on this web site you will see a lot of people who used it with success.

im goin to go get my oil changed today and the problem might be that they are not puttin a enough. thanks for al the help.

i found out the reason my car was burning oil was because my coolant was low. its worth taking a look at

if they used a different brand or type of oil then it will burn oil at a greater rate for about 2 oil changes. Same case if you used oil additive.
