right, but the sub frames carry the suspension. so just space the shock towers. im just spitting out an Idea.
It's a good thought that will give more fender clearance. However, it will do nothing for ground clearance since the subframes will still be the same height from the ground.
Quickest and cheapest way out as afore mentioned would be to cut your wheel wells out and add some beefy screw on flares to give a nice off road look to it.

I'm not a fan of slammed but i run 18inch rims on my sc300 this was on the stock suspension ive got coilovers now. the rear is the same and the front has been lowered 2 inches basically so its even.
