I found a set of Work Emotion CR Kais 18 x 7.5 and had a few questions. https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/wto/5693542566.html

1) Is this a good deal?

2) Do 7.5 inch width and 225s look to skinny for our car(Rear)?

1. Yes. All four with tires mounted and lugnuts is definitely a very good deal for those. Find out what thread the lugnuts are. Our cars use M12x1.5.
If they are M12x1.25, those only fit Nissans and Subarus

*The offsets of those wheels are pretty high. If you were to test fit one on your car, it would sit in the same location as a stock Lexus SC wheel. So if your car has stock wheels on it now, imagine them being 18s, and you have an idea of how the fitment will be

2. Well, the general rule of thumb is, the higher your car is, the skinnier the wheels will look. So at stock height, these wheels are only about as wide as stockers (16x7) with an oversized tire on them. Now if you want to be as low to the ground as possible, you could tuck using these.

Wherls and tires are not my forte whatsoever. I was just thinking that if indeed I want to go wider in the future these would be easier to sell being the brand they are.

 

Thats a good deal for those wheels....but they will look goofy and be really sunk in......maybe grab some spacers to fill it out...

Generally a wider setup is better for the SC....for example around a 18x8.5 or 18x9 in front and a 18x10 or 10.5 in rear...

Unless you wanna go full supra setup you can run 18x10 front and 18x11 rear...but generally that will require high offsets to fit

I just wanted to do my due diligence to make sure I don't impulse buy these. I'm going to check em out tomorrow night, but I feel like I may want to go wider in the future so I might just end up skipping these and spending more on something else.

 

I would go with your gut instinct. I must say these are incredibly small wheels, they wouldn't look right at all on an SC. I'd say atleast get a 9" in the rear if you plan on doing anything with your car.

 

I made that mistake going with the skinnier wheels once, wouldnt do it again. these cars respond best to staggered wheel setups and something more like a 8.0-9" front and a 9-10+" rear... but if you have to get them all one size at least go like 8.5-9"

 

Even if you wanted a meaty look 215/40/18 is still a pretty thin tire. I think this would be nice to daily on if you had that kinda setup though

 

235/40/18 doesn't look too bad though

just relip the wheels and make them as wide as you want.
you could either send them in or do it yourself. lips are approx. 200 each.

 

The wheels he's considering purchasing are 1pc low-pressure cast Emotion CR Kais. If they were a 3pc wheel, then yes he could easily relip them and make them whatever specs he wants.

With these he would have to send them out to a place that professionally widens wheels, and it would cost considerably more than $200 a wheel
