I ordered one and had it installed; really did get a lot of new angle, but my steering rack died after one event.
That rack had 150,000 miles on it + several drift events. My mechanic says that the problem is that the rack spacer was putting too much stress on the rack.
However, what do you guys think? I got a new steering rack and he didn't put the spacer back on because he didn't think I wanted the new rack to die too. I think that the spacer should be fine for at least 25 more events.
I had to replace rack and pump on my sc400 at approximately 200000km, so IMO it could have just been coincidence seeing as I've heard all these racks last is 200--250000km. Never seen these spacers though...
To be fair, I did replace my rack because I slid off the road and one of the rack boots started leaking, so the mileage I posted may have been irrelevant to the cause of the break in my rack.
