Tail light condensation
Ever since I used actual water to wash my car, (I always steam clean it) there has been condensation build up in the corners of the tails. Any ideas to make it go away?! Besides ripping out the housing, un-gluing it, etc..
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
For condensation, there are two things ... entry and exit.
Every one assumes a break in the seam allows entry of water. For this to be right the water must accumulate and then drain in from where the break is. Remove the tail light and study that and seal the entry point. You can seal al the seams by laying a thin bead all around.
I would also look for crack(s) in the lens.
Finally check that the drain pipes are clear. They look like "L" shaped pipes at the bottom of the lens assembly.
You can use hair dryer to remove inside condensation. Low humidity days are better days to dry out the lens.

I've got condensation in ONE tail light. I already had a head light replaced due to the same problem by means of a Warranty Replacement that I received in the mail from Lexus. Will a Warranty Replacement be mailed out soon for condensation in a tail light?
