Local engine importers?
Local engine importers?
I have spoken to JDMenginezone, JDMenginedepot and TigerJapanese and all seem like viable options but as most know, its a hit and miss regardless who you use anymore. JDMHookup is localish to me but bad on prices compared to any other importer I have seen and they don't include the transmission, not that I need the auto but it would be nice to have a spare and its just the principal of a bad deal, they're not competitive at all. I just want to be able to inspect and hand pick a motor and take it home instead of paying for a random motor shipped to my house and hope for the best. I'm after a 1JZ VVTi specifically, at this point even a non VVTi. I'd be willing to drive 4-5 hours from Springfield MO to be able to hand pick it. Thanks in advance.
I picked my engine up at jdm engine depot in NJ. A lot easier to go and speak with them and tell them what your looking for. What was good about them I told them what I was looking for and I actually had the opportunity to hand pick what I wanted. Only paid 1000 for jzx90 1jz/auto with ecu/igniter. The harness was cut but I had found a jzz30 soarer harness from jdm Miami.
