Default LED Lightbulbs

Has anyone tried LED lightbulbs with the SC headlights? Was curious as to how bright it can get with the projector and if its worth the money. Would be cool to see comparison pictures/feedback!

LED's are still unpredictable in high output setups. Just get an HID and save yourself the hassle of doing it twice. 4500k is for regular color light like halogen bulbs. 5000k gives you a white natural light without the blue hue, this is actually the same one car companies use for stock applications with HID and projector headlights, and this is the most you can use for maximum effectivity. 6000k and above will be too bright and white, and will be eye straining driving at night, to you, to car in front of you and oncoming traffic.

TRS/Morimoto rolling out some LED bulbs now, it's like $100, wouldn't say that is expensive..

I spent a lot of money on a set of LED headlight bulbs last year and they sucked. It was dimmer than a pair of cheap halogens. I currently use them as fog lights in my LS430 since they work much better in there.

I ordered the lights in early 2014. Since then there have been way more powerful LED bulbs come out. My old set only put out 2000 lumens of light. Now there are sets that put out three to four times that amount of light.

I've heard good things about the newer, more powerful bulbs. Go with a set of bulbs with a high lumen output. I will say that a good set of bulbs is going to cost $80+ and it may be more cost effective to buy HIDs.

I have 3k 55watt HID's for foglights and they're worthless but I love the HID headlights. Thought about LED's for the fogs. I'll probably order some this weekend and post some picures.

I've always done HID conversion on all my cars. This is CREE Led 55w at 8000k. Problem is our lights are projector lens. Looks great, but suck at lighting things up vs the traditional lights with reflecting/chrome lens. I've had normal 8000K HID and now 8000K LED HID. Brightness-wise, no big difference. Only thing is the big heat sink on the bulb sock and the super small/slim balast makes installing cake and easy to mount.

Sure lumens is one considering factor, so now the LED can match HID in brightness (3000 lumen +), that's great.

I am just not sure about the beam pattern even inside the projector, it might be scattered with a LED bulb and could be very distracting to drive with. I am not sure if they have designed a product that overcomes this.
I havn't seen a photo of LED bulb as headlights that have a smooth beam pattern.
