i need help

my battery kept dying and the lights on the dash were starting to go on and off every so often so we went and got a new alternator. put the alternator on but everytime we turn the car off we have to get a jump to get it to start back up. could it be just the battery or could it be something else?

Should always check the battery when you replace the alternator. Each supports the other and should be checked together to confirm which is bad...

if you have an 89-94 with electrical problems always check out this first.

then next go and have both the alternator and the battery tested...your battery could just not be holding a charge
