Bought an 92 SC400 With the Keyless Entry Missing......
Can I buy another key with the keyless entry and have it reprogramed or is it something I will have to go through the dealer for. When I bought the car they only had the key without the button for the keyless entry.
you will need to buy a new key transmitter and matching receiver module and have the key cut for your car based on the VIN. Dealer only. Be ready to prove ownership.
Yeah i locked my keys in my car and i called lexus and he told me it would be around 350 bucks for a set of the programmed keys, that sucks that you got screwed out of the factory keys. good luck.
I ignored the cost and compatibility and simply replaced the key with an aftermarket key fob. it looks like a stock key fob (not for the lexus mind you) so it doesnt have weird buttons and such like an alarm would, just a clean, simple remote. i paid $25 for the unit from my distributor and they retail around $50. I love the keyless and have no need for the lexus keyfob, this one works fine. since it locks the doors, it also turns the factory alarm on and off also!!! locks doors, pops the trunk, has the option for remote start to be added. problem solved, it worked for me.

Ok I got my keys from Sewell today and they both crank the cars but my problem is both of my cars only had the wallet keys. So my question is and Im afraid of the answer but is there a way to program the keys WITHOUT having a master key???

If you bought keys from Sewell with the remote button, then their should have been a chip included that you replace in the ECU in the car. That allows the new keys transmission to be received the the ECU and activate the car doors. You can still retain the key for the ignition by having the new key with the remote cut to your ignition by providing your VIN and proof of ownership.
