Default phone beep

i know you guys have probably gone over this about 1000 times by now, i did a search and all i came up with was turn off the phone when the car is on, because last time the phone was in it was turned on when the car was turned off and that is why it still beeps, but i tired that. I even tried taking the cup holder out and unpluged the phone but that was no good . . . also there is 2 plugs under there, one white one like the phone plug but its smaller and another gray one hiding below a bit anyone know what they are (ps i don't have heated seats so might that be what one of them is for?) thanks for any help

woah, dude - that is one big run-on sentence.

There was a post about this about 1 month ago or so, if I remember right. Keep on searching, or PCMW might get mad!

haha my bad ya i read it and if i remember right it said you have to plug the phone in and turn it off then you will be fine. i tired it with my phone and a newer phone for the same car and neither works. so i wasn't sure if anyone knew if there was a reason the phone kept turning back on every time i would turn the car back on.

Well, I think I probably wrote that other post you found, but here goes again, and it only applies to the oem dealer option phone, made by Motorola, and installed by a Lexus dealer.

Plug in the handset and turn the ignition on. The phone willl beep and part of the display on the handset will light up. Push the PWR button and *hold it down* until the display goes dark. Now turn the ignition off. Turn the ingnition back on and, in theory, the beep should not happen.

Worked for me.

If it doesn't work for you, I am fresh outta ideas.
