Default Help Needed:Leather Cover Install

I just recieved my covers from leatherseats.com, and am now in the difficult phase....installation. I have read PCMW's install thread but still have questions. After i remove the old rings and covers and start on the new ones; Do I start from the middle and work outward?(backseat). Also what do I use the spray adhesive for? I guess i'm just a bit nervous about ripping apart my seats. But any help/tips you can offer will be appreciated.
Thanks

Spray adhesive is for the door panels, which I'd leave alone, unless they're in bad shape, or a different color than your new upholstery. Wish I could provide more specifics, but I have an ES, not an SC. However starting with the rear bench may be easiest. I know on my ES, pulling the two parts of the front seats apart took some work.

Thanks for that bit of info. On the rear bench, did you start from the middle and work outward? I was thinking ring down the middles...then pull over and ring all the edges. I'm still not too sure, and don't wanna mess anything up. Any more advice would be helpful from any other contributing members.

Start in the center of each seat (where you sit first, then do where your back rests)- then contine with the rest.

For the bench in the back, do each seat center first, then do the rest of the bench, but still treat them as two seperate seats- though I know thats hard to understand.

Don't pull the leather too tight, or it will make wrinkles, not remove then.

I used the spray adhesive to preven wrinkles in the inserts. Spray it, lay it, then hog it.

The fit is near perfect. You get 5X as many hog rings as you need, so don't be afraid to go crazy with them.

Hope this helps,
Keith

Not only are they pretty good, they are up for sale on that famous auction site. Here's a pic from their listing:

Din: I picked up my set from ebay for about 780 shipped to my door (although I live in hawaii), with full leather upgrade and install kit.

I say the type of leather is much different than stock, and as someone had stated before has a noticable "grain" to it. It still beats old worn, cracked and hard leather. Now just to get these things on my seats!!!!!
