OK guys so last night night i was at my friends house hooking up and sub with wires that i have already had ran and have used on a sub last season.... i left the car running so my battery wouldn't died when we were working....i turn the car off to connect everything and when i went to start it the battery was dead... so this morning at work i installed a rebuilt alternator from advance auto 160 bucks and changed my battery witch is an interstate 600 cca.. when i tested the alternator with the hand held battery tested it still failed the test. its still not giving any voltage to the battery.... i tested what the alternator is putting out and its only putting out 12 volts when it should be somewhere around 14 correct? do u guys think something went in my ecu they not regulating the voltage right or is there bad ground that usually goes bad....


please any help would be great

I dont think the ecu controls the altrenator out voltage.

Did you test your previous alternator before changing it?

 

no i did not unfortunately.... i was also thinking it could be the rebuilt one i put in there...

 

does anyone no of the ground diagram that i can look at?
