Question Jelly-like steering

My steering feels 'loose' at about 40mph, and usually it's worst on the A40 flyover at Marylebone!!! Not sure if it's the wind as you go over, or the change in surface. But anyway, the steering doesn't feel 'tight' at all - as I expected it to be on one of these. Also gpot a creak as I go over big speed bumps. Front suspension arm bushes maybe? Or even the arms themselves? I've only had the car 3 weeks - so I'm still learning, but loving my beautiful new machine!!

Also, had a night mare yesterday, came out of a pub on Holloway rd, as I turned left, I cut the corner ever so slightly - and to my dismay, a bollard had been cut off, but there were about 8 inches of it sticking out. I didn't see it, my front wheel (left) went over it then the sill under the door dropped down on it and I couldn't get it off. I spun the wheels back and forth, but all I did was rip a nice chunk of metal off the bottom of my car! It too 6 blokes to lift it off, and shunt it out to the side so I could clear the obstruction!!! A wire casing was ripped, but the wires inside seem to be OK. The only thing I've notice that's wrong is that the electrics in the passenger seat dont work. Any ides? Could it be those wires? Any advice? Thanks.
Mat.

Default The wires

Check all of those wires that ripped inside the casing. Probably a torn wire or wires, also repair the casing so water and dirt won't get inside. I'm assuming the seat worked before you hit the bollard. Also what's a bollard?

What's a bollard??? A metal post there to stop you driving on the pavement!!!!
And yes, the seat worked before! OK, so I'll tape up the wires.
Thanks.
