I was doing a starter replacement on my 92 SC400, and inadvertently knocked off the male plug on the bottom knock sensor. I epoxied the plug back together, but when I re assembled the motor and started, it would run fine, then start knocking REAL BAD! of course, I shut it down asap, but I am wondering if damage was done.
I have ordered two new knock sensors, and they will arrive in the next few days. Also, due to age and heat, I am having to replace a number of plugs, male and female that just broke taking them apart. When I re-assemble, I am going to leave off all of the "Beauty panels" for the wiring and stuff, with the exception of the valve cover/distributor covers. BTW, the starter works great!
