Default Blue Plastic Sensor?!

Just finished replacing my starter, and in the process, managed to break some sort of blue sensor coming out of the coolant passage on the front of the motor. Has two vacuum lines coming out of it.

......what is it?!!!!!!

I've searched engine diagrams, keywords including blue sensor....vacuum system....fuel pressure system....can't figure out what it is!

Reason being is that I replaced the starter and the starter works great, but now the car won't fire up. Just turns over. Wanna eliminate any possible issues.

Is this the sensor in question?

Like everyone else has done, it's pretty common. It's called a BVSV, or a Bi-metal Vacuum Switching Valve. Here is a good read if you feel like it. http://www.yotatech.com/f16/how-important-bvsv-60581/

It basically is in-charge of sending vacuum to the EGR after the engine warms up. I broke my off, and didn't replace it because I deleted my EGR. It would be a good idea if you are running a bone stock motor to replace the BVSV. You can order one from Toyota which will be a little cheaper, but they can be found on eBay as well. Hope that helps.
