I am a new owner of a 97 SC300 i am curious which spark plugs works better on the 2jz motor any and all information is greatly appreciate.
I am also thinking of doing an air fuel tune with a APEXi SAFCI what do you guys think?
i am in the process of putting in coil overs pics coming soon.
Denso Iridium IK-16s. I liked them better than the NGK Iridiums. Performance wise I didn't noticed a difference, but when you hold it the quality looked better (well, in my eyes).
You're gonna have some problems with the SAFC. The factory ecu will learn your tune over time and you'll have to reset the ecu once every couple weeks (if you daily the car). I gave up on tuning mine. I just use it as a gauge to monitor rpm, throttle %, airflow thru the maf and voltage.
I did get it to work when I set the fuel map to be active when throttle is +75%. But that was rather pointless, since i rarely got to use that tune on the street. To self tune, you're gonna need a wideband. Either the newest AEM or a PLX to start. And to do tuning safely, you're gonna need dyno time
Thanks for the information, I was talking to some other SC lovers and they told me the same just tune it up and leave it until i put the turbo set up in.
