Hey everyone, just introducing myself, I'm Steve and I'm a Marine stationed in japan currently and I own a 91 Toyota Soarer. Yes it's legit, I bought it here and it's right hand drive. It's the 1jz jzz30 twin turbo and it is automatic(wanted a stick but they're really hard to find in 5 speed here). I'll post more pics when it's light out tomorrow. Just wanted to drop by and say hi. And I also know that this is a Lexus forum, but I tried forums that pertain to the soarer and it's all in kanji or it's an European English site and I don't get much info.

 

Looks pretty nice bro, welcome to the forum. Soarers are more than welcome here, you might have a bit of trouble following some of the DIY's here as a few harnesses are on the other side and some things are flipped but it's still better than nothing and a lot of stuff is the same. Post some more pics when you get a chance.

I know, the car is dirty but we just got out of a pretty strong typhoon so I haven't gotten a chance to clean her up yet. Is love to come to lejune, that's where I want my next duty station to be.

I also plan on taking this car back to the states with me because when I leave here it will apply to the 25 year exemption, and the govt will pay to ship her home

Congratz on your soarer man! You'll have a lot of fun out in Okinawa, I used to live at Kadena and can't tell you how much fun it is for car stuff there. If you need any help on where to find parts and stuff just send me a pm and I'll point you the right way.
