Is the car fully engaged in park? I know there is a sensor on the shifter assembly for it

Try pushing the shifter all the way forward, 'til it clicks. Then it's in lock.
That should do it.

Well since I have gated shifter I'm wondering if I broke something when taking everything apart
and I've tried push it up more when it's in park and wiggling the steering while pushing it simeutaneously
That didn't work
Tried spraying wd40 on my key inserting turning removing wiping key clean and repeating , that did nothing

Does anyone have pictures or more detailed explanation of how the shift lock that works in conjunction with the key operation?
It's showing it's in park on my cluster and it indeed is in park as the car won't move of course
