Default Need help with part numbers, PLEASE!

i need to know the part numbers, or the official name, or how to find the trim ring that goes around the climate control and radio, that has the temperature and volume controls, as well as the button for the hazards. i am assuming that they come included with the part, but i may be wrong about this too?

Try going to a lexus dealer or call a dealer up. I recently went to the dealer the other day to get a piece of rubber molding for the exterior of my car, they were very helpful and I'm sure they'd give you a part number if you asked - they might even have it in stock!

There are the screw in the lower portion under the cup holder and under the shifter plate and the top area around the stereo etc are just clips. You just have to pull on it carefully.

I had trouble just trying to pull the cup holder out. The trick is to wedge something (that will not scratch the trim) between the cup holder and the end of the console. That will release the clips that hold the cup holder in place and allow you to remove it easily.

you stand a chance of imprinting the plastic if you go to prying. place your hands in the cupholder, one on each side. Pull upwards in a back and forth motion and the clips will release fairly easily. this way you don't risk leaving marks on it.

if by chance you can't get the cupholder to release, try holding your tongue to the right seriously, prying should be the last resort, it will wiggle free with tension from inside both sides of the cupholder.

wow, thanks for all the info guys im in the process of making my tan interior into a tan/black trim interior (much like the sc430's) and this is one of the finishing touches i need, along with a black dash. so far ive got the black vinyl (with the exception of the dash), my black steering wheel, and black floor mats the black console trim will go nicely as I don't have anything in the center that has a lot of black on it (i have a wood dash kit taking up the center console). i couldn't find anything on parts.com, so i'm going to call up my local dealership tomorrow and find out what kind of bribe i need to fork up to get this piece.

I have a dash, can sell for 275 shipped. Why don't you dye the dash black.

well, thats what i plan on doing, its just extremely time consuming i dyed the rest of my vinyl black without removing anything, so i plan on doing the same with the dash considering it is the most difficult piece to remove. what is really going to kill me is dying all around the air vents near the windshield, as it probably isnt a good idea to let any dye slip down into those vents. ive been putting this off for a couple months, hopefully ill have time to get around to it soon enough though

Take the windshield out first. It is cheap and easy to do. Just have a pro reinstall the glass after you are done.
