Default Brakes

I'm gonna need to get new rotors and pads soon for my 93 SC300. I don't want to get new 17" rims so no, I won't be doing a Supra TT upgrade (I know some will still suggest it though) . Just wondering what people recommend, if upgrading to SC4 rotors and calipers will be worth it. At the very least, I'll need to get new rotors for the stock SC3 brake system. Any specific brands people recommend? I don't think I'm gonna deal with CD rotors, just slotted/vented.

Yes, I did a search which is why I'm shying away from CD rotors and the Supra TT upgrade. But what about a SC3 to SC4 brake upgrade? Place to get things for cheap?

Hmm, dunno about the later years, but for 1993, the front rotors were bigger on the SC4.

92-96 SC3 rotors are smaller than 97+ SC3s and all sc4s/sc430s

But hey...that is all in the FAQ. at this post
Before POSTING, Check these FAQ's

I think that may help, they are larger, but I do not think that slotted/CD rotors do much of anything but look cool.

On our favorite auction site, look up brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors for the sc, I bought a set. All four for the sc400 for under $200. I was skeptical, but i must say I'm very pleased. The only thing was that they began to rust within the first week because they lack some rust-prof coating, forget the name, but I just took them off, cleaned them, painted them silver, and bam, work and look great! So just paint them before you put them on and there's no probs. They work great, I don't have any numbers but I can feel the car stops in shorter distances than my other 92 SC with the stock brakes. Just a suggestion, good luck!

I have cross drilled/ slotted rotors because my stock rotors were warped. Does anyone know if the Motul 600 work better than all the rest! And also i want to the new lines! which are better Goodridge or the one from the australian guys?
