Default Flowmaster Vs Magnaflow

OK I am really sorry if anyone else has already covered this but I did a search and couldn’t find anything.
I wanted to know what do u guys prefer flowmasters or magnaflow mufflers for a 95 SC4, can anyone give me any info about each or are they just basically the same.

By the way I was considering the FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES Delta Flow or just the Aluminized MAGNAFLOWS.

THANKS

Flowmasters are chambered.

Some Magnaflows are chambered (classisc design) Some are straight through design (racing mufflers)

Personaly, since the stock mufflers are straight through design, I'd keep it that way.

40-series is loud as hell! You might want to rethink that choice. Maybe look at the 50-series mufflers. I've never heard Flowmasters on an SC, but I've heard them on many Toyota pick-ups. They sound decent on the pickups, but those are V6s. Toyota V6s sound similar to GM V6s with Flowmasters, so I suspect Flowmasters on our V8s would sound really nice. Especially since we share a similar crank with the Mustang V8. I was planning on buying Flowmaster mufflers just to see how they sound, and if they sound V8-aggressive like I'm aiming for, then I'd keep them. If you do decide on the Flowmasters, please give us feedback on how they sound. If you can produce a sound clip or video clip, that'd be awesome!!!

The Magnaflows are too quiet for the SC. If you just weld them in place of the stock, it's actually quieter than the stock mufflers! If you cut the stock mufflers off, cut the stock resonators off, cut open the cat outlet, and weld in two large pipes feeding into the Magnaflow, they are still stock-like quiet! It took mine a few months to burn-in and achieve it's throatiness. And even now it isn't that dramatically louder than stock, just deeper and smoother sounding. On a cold start, the mufflers are still quieter than stock, but once they warm up, they achieve their purr.

for power flowmasters SUCK... magnaflows with a straight-through design are great...
