Performance enclosure for cooler air?
I was searching on SF and came across some really nice designs on making a custom air intake aluminum enclosure for my K and N filter. Those guys spare no expense on their beloved MKIV's. I wanted to know if anyone here has done it, and if it yields any more performance on the dyno. I think the enclosures do an added touch to the engine bay. These of course are for the motor swap turbo guys like myself.
Whats your thoughts, go for it, or just keep what I have and be happy?

I think I have seen it done like a BFI setup but with an air filter. My fav setup is to drill a 4.25" hole in the passenger side and stick the air filter down into the fender area (as high up as possible though) so it can get all the fresh air from the corner area of the bumper.
You can seal off the area around it in the bay, but make sure there are enough places for fresh air to come in via under the headlight etc.. It does give a very nice clean look so I say go for it.
