So I've been trying to trace the issue of my doors being a lot harder to shut with all of the windows up. I've had the sunroof open, and it closed a lot easier (less force).
My first thought was the rear vent, but cleaning it didn't make much of a difference..
Has anyone had a similar problem and a solution?
I feel like it's an exterior vent that's gotten clogged, but can't seem to find which one it is!
Think of a boat sail being up vs down. Just more wind resistance.
That helps, how?
I know the cabin pressure is the problem. Apparently vent to exterior is clogged somewhere, I'm asking for possible vent locations.

Hm.. I'll check that. Isn't the trunk isolated from the cabin? I haven't pulled the rear seats yet, but I remember seeing a picture with the opening to the trunk being sealed..

No access to the trunk if you remove the rear seats. Just more metal. My solution to the issue of cabin pressure is to ignore it.

Well, it's putting stress on my sunroof and the windows. I don't want to risk blowing out my sunroof. I can see the sunroof moving when I close the door.
I always thought it's a good thing to have a air tight interior, especially if you're driving under water or like going through the fire or like trying not to drown in deep waters to keep you upfloat with the air tight luxury Japanese engineered lexus sport coupe won't let you down!!!! Hey Ferrari didn't even ever have that as an option!!!

moved to maintenance.
Interior is not airtight that would hurt your ears when you slam the door, the vents for the interior are in the trunk area at the bottom left by the antenna or bottom right under the cd changer, looks like a vertical black plastic fiter box. for certain years you may have one on both sides. never messed with them before but you can check they are not completely blocked with leaves and or stuff.
I am not sure if there is another one in the main cabin but I don't remember seeing one. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...the-trunk.html

Yeah, I have to check the cd changer side. There was a bit of junk near the antenna, but I cleaned it up with no results.
i have the same issue, and am curious to what fixes the problem. i dont mind that it seems more "airtight" but if its not supposed to do that im wondering what the deal is....
maybe there is a place that the cabin pressure goes to the trunk to get released and something is blocking the cabin from the trunk now, I don't know just guessing my door glides like butter =)
