Default Driver door will not open INSIDE or OUTSIDE

My driver side door won't open from the inside or the outside. If I put my key into the door to try to unlock it, it feels like it's bound up and doesn't turn all the way. I've already taken my door panel off (breaking it even more than it already was.) inside to try and get a better look, but it hasn't really helped in solving the issue. My little clip that attaches the rod to the handle is still intact.

I'm really unsure of what to try next. I haven't come across a thread where someone has had a problem they described as being similar to mine, usually it's just people who broke that clip.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, having to get out on the passenger side really sucks.

Huh, and you can move the latch release by hand from inside? Where in TX are you? If your in Houston, and I have some free time, I'd be willing to swing by and take a look at it.

You should be able to track down the issue. When you pull the handle does the cord move?

The door panel is off, so no. Everything seems to try to move and actuate up until it doesn't. There isn't anything that is clearly broken.

I'm in Dallas.

Is there a way to manipulate the lock mechanism from the back side to unlock it? I'd do anything to have my driver's door open again. :/

It seems like the lock is holding me up. If I try to push or pull the lock cord that attaches to the inner door panel, it doesn't want to go all the way into the unlock position.
