Basic upgrade advice
Story of my life... (a day late or a dollar short) i just spent 240.00 on the oem set yesterday ...
The sad part is ill need to do this all over again in 8-9 months when i go turbo. I just hope i dont screw anything up and it runs ok.
All mods in general, the rule of thumb I have seen from many performance numbers and types and models of cars is that to do it professional and right it is basically going to cost you about $100 per wheel horsepower for a premium car. Consider anything less awesome. This is where friends and connections come in. Modding cars is not a cheap copy. Take a look at the GS thread about how much have they have spent this summer. Owners of all makes of Lexus cars spilled the beans on their spending habits on the car.
but carson only wanted 198.00 for the same part # 0411246045
i paid 240.00 , so i dont feel to bad ...
This is where im getting my info for the BFI

That looks like it would work real nice.
and be reliable, for up to 450-500 rwhp ?
The motor has 103k and im installing a head gasket kit now (omg theres alot of seals and round black rubber things)
and having the head port and polished, with a 3 angle valve jobSo i guess my question is how reliable would a motor with 103k and a fresh head/gaskets valve job last with a stage 1 or basic turbo kit. (granted its installed-tuned right)
