Default Anyone have electrical problem with 95 sc

Hey CL Just bought a baltic blue 95 with a 5sp swap but... The gauge cluster and cruise control don't work. I've searched and only saw one other person with similar problems. Can anyone direct me where to diagnose besides fuses and grounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

congrats! is this the 300 or 400? year? miles? does it still have the automatic cluster? eitherway. first thing is to find out what exactly what the swaper did. check all your connectors and wires for cluster steering wheel speedo they probably forgot to plug one in or it's loose or broke a connector/wire. having a voltmeter would help.

Do you mean the whole cluster doesn't work or none of the needles light up? More specific please. Did you check the cruise control plug in the engine bay? Is it receiving power? I would check other main fuses and the ones in the kick panel and see if they are blown.

I was the one that recently had cluster issues. All of the sudden, my cruise, TRAC, and check engine light all stopped working. A highly respected Lexus Master tech spent countless hours chasing down the problem. My tach, needles, speedometer, cluster lights all still worked.

My issue was a faulty cluster itself. He explained that all those functions run thru the cluster. I guess when one of the boards inside decided to go bad, it affected a lot of things. My car was cured with just a cluster replacement. PM me if you need more info.

so how do you tell the difference of having a bad cluster vs blown fuses, bulbs, etc?
