Default axle came loose while driving.

while driving last night my axle came loose and i lost 4 of the 6 bolts and 1 of the half circle retaining rings. the cap (that goes into the diff) on the axle had also came off but i found that.
my question is, is if i have the cap and can make another half circle and buy 4 more bolts, should i really have to worry about anything? can the cap just pop back on? is there anything that i should know about the internal integrity of the axle?

can't really say unless you give a lil more info on the damage if any, i don't see why not. however, assuming this is a wheel axle, upon removal or installation you're supposed to make matchmarks because they're balanced. I've reinstalled wheel axles before for a friend and he didn't match-mark them and there was a slight vibration afterwards but not much I could do about it because he didn't mark the axles.

this also sounds like what happened in another case where a friend took his FC into a shop and they didn't torque the bolts down, we believe they hand-tightened them because it was a mess. there were some bolts that just came off by hand but the work done was dirt cheap so what can one expect.
