Default upper frame rail clearance?

Im on ksports and my front tires are rubbing on my frame rails and cutting into it, i already hammered the one flap that digs into the tire but it still rubs, The next thing I am thinking of doing is trimming the flap out with an angle grinder or something. Do you guys have this problem? I don't even think im that low I am on 225/40's and I'm thinking of stepping down to 35's once i get new wheels.

for reference.

Very common problem, my passenger one destroyed my brand new tire. I cut as much as the rail off with an angle grinder and just tried to hammer it flat, it still rubs on hard dips or driveways but it doesn't tear up the tire anymore.

What clearance? LOL No seriously, this has been discussed over and over again already. Some people cut it, I prefer not to. I had to do it twice 'cause it still kept on rubbing after I did it the first time. The second time, I decided to remove the fenders to get a better angle at hitting it with a 2 pound Mighty Thor sledgehammer until the seam was pointing upward. My tires still rub it from time to time when I don't slow down from 80-90mph going over freeway bridge gaps but like I said, I can still drive 80-90mph no problem.

Looks like ill be doing both hammering and cutting as well as buying new stuffer springs for the ksports, I know it's said you can onl go up at most 2k but ksports are too darn soft IMO.

So even in the PBM's you were still rubbing?! I wanted to get rid if my ksports because I eas thinking the spring rates were too soft,

Common misconception. Higher or stiffer spring rates does not just mean the resistance is better. It also mean that the rebound of the spring is faster. Also, there's a certain point of low that even the stiffest suspension you find wouldn't be able to avoid rubbing.
