question about head unit change in sc300

i was looking at the clarion vrx925vd it is a LCD and dvd player combo thing. i was curious if i did put this in an sc300 is there a harness to keep stock speakers and stock amps, or do i have to get new speakers and what not to go with the new headunit?

You can change the head unit while retaining the stock amp and speaker setup, however there is no premade harness you have to just tap into the factory harness. The site below has diagrams of the wiring:

Hamid,

Any Toyota harness will work for the power ground etc... However, for the signal input from the headunit to the amps, you will have to splice some RCA cables to patch them into the stock setup. This is easy to do but you may need someone with experience to help you if you are not familiar with this. Also, the factory headunit puts out a REALLY low level output, so you may want to just change the amps while you are at it. Chances are they will not work well with the voltage of the aftermarket decks low level.
