My last lexus was a 96 GS300... It had a warning beep if you left the sunroof open, is the SC400 suppose to emit this same tone?

Are the Parking lights suppose to flash with the keyless entry or is it only suppose to make the tone?

Lights dont flash, just a tone.

 

Darn, My sunroof does not make this noise...... Time to Take apart and rebuild...

Anyone know if there is a seperate fuse for this?

I have a 95 and it makes no noises or anything if I leave the sunroof open or tilted. When did they start putting the warning tone in the SCs?

 

Mine's a 95 and has the warning beep.

 

I have a 92 and it makes a similiar if not same noise as if the keys were left in the car

 

Hmm.... I think I need to get this checked out. I usually dont forget to close my moonroof but just incase.

My cars production date is : 05/95 and it is a 1996 Model..

BTW: Anybody every wonder why Lexus makes there cars so early in the year and sells them as later models?

My friend has a 1995 SC400 and his was made on 02/94 which should technically make it a 94 model, but its definetly not a 94.


Back to the main quesition though... WHATs your opinions on the sunroof beeping noise???

 

My '93 beeps when the sunroof is *tilted* open and a door is opened - it does not beep with the roof slid back - I think the Toyota engineers probably figured you'd notice if the roof was open, but maybe not if it's tilted - -

What I miss on my '93 is no beep or flash when I lock up using the remote - I can't hear it locking 90% of the time - anybody got any ideas on how to update that?

 

My 93 will beep after I remove the key anytime the sunroof is not fully closed.

 

92sc400 beeps when either slid open or tilted
