Default Want to replace auto shift ****

Im in he process of getting my 94 SC400 back in running shape for my soon to be 16yr old son. Ive got alot of things that need fixing or replacing but I was working on it today and I would like to replace the shift **** with a wood one but with the overdrive button being on the side Im having a problem finding a solution. Ive searched the forums but havent found an answer and I looked on ebay. Does anyone know of a replacement that would work and also look as good as some of the newer lexus models?

I too want to replace mine, but with pretty much no options I'm thinking of getting it redone like this...

The Planetsoarer option looks good but I wonder if there is anyone in the USA that would do this? versus shipping the items to Australia

you can always run whatever push-down type shift **** you want and relocate the overdrive button into the center console around the shifter ...should still work just fine

I actually have a vinyl/leather repair shop right down the road. They show a few car interiors redone in the windows, I've never actually gone inside. I'll go and get a quote during the work week on redoing the shifter, and while I'm at it I'll ask them about a few other things and see what price they can do for me. It's one of the last things on my to do list though.

I work long hours from 7-6 and usually everything is closed by that time, but I'll try and pop in and see what they say.

I would suggest doing the 98-00 gated shifter. Very easy to install and looks way more cleaner and more modern. Plus, you have plenty of options for the shift ****. Good luck.

What's the overall cost for just doing the gated shifter?

The gated shifter install isn't that hard. It's the cost of the gated shifter itself. There is one on ebay right now for $230. Check the SC400 classified section on clublexus, they pop up there too.

These guys do Steering wheel re-wraps. Very good work.

I think it was around $140 - 175

They did the center console on my elise.
