I just picked up an SC300, because of a couple things, I am turning around and getting rid of it, to pick-n-pull.
but I found someone who wants to trade a good SC400 with lower mileage, I am just wondering if the following items are standard features:
Keyless entry on the laser cut key
Dimming rear view mirror
rear view mirror visor
and what is that vertical slot next to the stereo? is it for a cup holder?
I cant find these answers, just want to know if there is an official brochure that lists the features?
(if I don't trade I am definitely going to buy one with the money from selling my MR2 turbo)
If you want the original manuals register your car on Lexus's website, you don't have to be the original owner, and you get to see your vehicles full history report if it has any registered maintenance history that is. Ask the SC400 owner for the Vin # too and check his cars history.

I already have the original manual to the car though.

The slot in the first year SC300/SC400 was to store your tape cassette case in. Nothing more, nothin less. In later years Lexus installed a flip-our drink holder in this slot.
I just picked up a SC400, in the other SC300 it had a cigarette lighter port in the arm rest bin thing between the seats, but this one doesnt have that

Do you mean first year as in 92. or did the empty space last a few multiple years? Also why would you store a cassette in a car with a cd changer lol

I mean the first year 1992 SC400 which was introduced in June 1991 as a 92 model. I don't know when they added the cup holder into the slot, but probably within a year or so as it probably wasn't a big hit.
The slot was to store your cassette tape case after you had inserted a cassette to play in the cassette player. I know you're thinking why is the world would they put a cassette player in the car with it comes with a CD player. Beats me, but some people actually use the cassette player to utilize a device which they can attach an iPod to and play thru the audio system.
