Default sc300 cluster (tach) not working properly

Well ive had a few of these cars now ive scene the tach and speedo completely mot work at times and work other times but this is diffrent my speedo seems to work fine but my tach seems lazy or slow maybe? It works but reads wrong and will not read past about4k rps although the car runs and revs fine. This is a early model year cluster out of a 5 spd with the white or clear needles. Its in a 5spd swaped car althought i dont thing this is the issue because i have tried another 5spd cluster and it was fine. I was wanting to send this to lextech for the back lights and needles to be redone on white and blue but dont want to spend $240 bucks and have a tach that doesnt function properly. Help please? Is it the cluster or something else such as bad signal? Where does the tach get signal from?

We rebuild these clusters and know them inside and out. It can be repaired.

Tons of people have had this problem....haven't seen anyone really repair it themselves....send it out to Jason (TaninAuto) and he will repair it....and he can solder in new LEDs for the backlighting and needles.
